1. High School Scholarship

Since 1997, Taiwanese American Foundation of San Diego (TAFSD) has been awarding every year three to six scholarships to college-bound high school seniors of San Diego County. There will be six $1,500 scholarships this year. Two of them are reserved for Taiwanese-American students.

The Scholarship Committee evaluates the applicants in terms of their academic achievements, service to the community, and leadership ability. Three of the six scholarships are reserved for qualified applicants with financial needs. The deadline for application is April 15, 2015 (post marked).

The award ceremony will take place at Taiwanese American Community Center on Taiwanese American Heritage Week opening ceremony (date to be notified).

TAFSD presents a Taiwan Trip Award to a student selected from the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair in March every other year. The Award winner will receive up to $2,000 for a sponsored trip to Taiwan. The Award offers the winner an excellent opportunity to learn the richness and diversity of the Taiwanese culture.
