Ensemble Orientalia of Taipei

San Diego, September 17, 2001: Taiwanese American Community Center invited you to join us for a wonderful musical night. We have invited Ensemble Orientalia of Taipei to perform traditional Taiwanese music. The event will be hold in the Auditorium of Taiwanese American Center at 7p.m. on September 22, 2001.

Ensemble Orientalia of Taipei's aim is to study, transcribe and perform Taiwan's traditional music. Ensemble Orientalia of Taipei (EOT) has since participated in art festivals, conferences and traditional music camps in every city and county, and at every university and culture center. EOT was invited to perform in Hong Kong, United States, New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands, and Royal Festival Hall in England. EOT was awarded a four-year subsidy from the Council for Cultural Affairs, becoming one of its international performance groups.

The Taiwanese American Foundation was founded in 1996 with the dedication and commitment of the Taiwanese American community in San Diego. The Foundation was incorporated in the State of California as a nonprofit, public, and charitable organiztion. The mission of the Foundation is to strengthen and enhance Taiwanese American individual and family life in San Diego. The Taiwanese American Community Center is an oeprational unit of the Foundation to provide variety of programs and services to Taiwanese Americans in San Diego.
