Hepatitis B & Liver Cancer Workshop

Taiwanese American Community Center (TACC) is going to hold a Hepatitis B & Liver Cancer Workshop on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Taiwanese American Community Center. It will start with registration at 1 P.M., and Dr. Larry Chiang, M.D., an internal medicine physician at North County Internists will deliver a speech before the blood screening.

Taiwanese American Foundation of San Diego is sponsoring the San Diego Jade Ribbon Campaign. The major activity of the San Diego Jade Ribbon Campaign is to provide a series of educational hepatitis B & liver cancer workshops in Chinese/Taiwanese American communities. Each workshop will feature a seminar by a prominent physician with extensive experience with hepatitis, liver cancer and treatment, a question and answer session, and a free hepatitis B blood screening.   Throughout the workshops, the community members will be able to increase their awareness and to update the knowledge about hepatitis B and liver cancer, in addition to receiving the results of blood screening and information leading to follow-up care.
