| Taro Ball |

| Materials: |

| 1 1/3 LB. of taro |
2 T. of lard or shortening* |
| 2 T. of corn starch* |
1 1/2 T. of sugar* |
| 6 C. of oil |
2 T. of corn starch |

| Procedures: |
|
- Slice the taros and steam till soft (about 15 minutes).
Mash until smooth while hot. Add the ingredients with (*)
and mix well. Using about 3 T. of mashed taro to make a
ball (oval shape). Repeat the procedure for the remaining
taro. Pat the balls with cornstarch.
- Heat the oil for deep-fry, fry the taro ball until golden
brown. Remove and serve.
