Tsuanh Foundation - The Ninth International Youth Culture Tour to Taiwan
Scholarship Program

Tsunah Foundation is offering a scholarship program for the participants who are registering the Ninth Taiwan Culture Tour in December 2007.  This year we plan to provide 3-4 applicants with scholarship, depending on the number of tour participants. Each recipient will receive a cash award of $ 700 to compensate the partial registration fee for the tour. 

The selection of recipients will be based on: 1) the leadership and community service in Taiwanese American community, and 2) financial needs. Therefore, a recommendation letter from one of the Taiwanese American community leaders or relevant individuals, and a one-page autobiography which can justify the applicant's financial needs, are required for the application.

Recipients of the Scholarship will be announced by the end of November. Upon completion of the tour, recipients are also required to write an essay or poem about the tour with any topic of their choice. The essays will be published on the Tsunah Foundation’s web site: www.taiwancenter.com/tsunah. The scholarship checks will be mailed to the recipients upon receipt of their after-tour essays.
