Scholarship Program

Tsunah Foundation is offering a scholarship program for the participants who are registering the Tenth Taiwan Culture Camp in December 2009. This year we plan to provide 3-4 applicants with scholarship, depending on the number of camp participants. Each recipient will receive a cash award of $500 to compensate the partial airfare for the international travel.

The selection of recipients will be based on: 1) the leadership and community service in Taiwanese American community, and 2) financial needs. Therefore, a recommendation letter from one of the Taiwanese American community leaders or relevant individuals, and a one-page autobiography which can justify the applicant's financial needs, are required for the application.

Recipients of the scholarship will be announced by the end of November. Upon completion of the camp, each recipient is required to write an essay or poem about the camp with any topic of his/her choice. The essays/poems will be published on the Tsunah Foundation’s web site: www.taiwancenter.com/tsunah. The scholarship checks will be mailed to the recipients upon receipt of their after-camp essays/poems.
