The 11^th International Culture Tour of Taiwan

General Information:

This special Tsunah Culture Tour of Taiwan to be held in November 2010 will be the eleventh tour sponsored by the Tsunah Foundation. The length of tour in Taiwan this year will be 7 days and 6 nights (11/08 – 11/14), and the registration fee is US$650.00 including board & lodging, tour transportation, and all admission tickets during the tour. This tour program is geared toward Taiwanese / international adults by providing them an opportunity to learn firsthand about the beautiful island of Taiwan and its culture. During the tour, there will be formal lectures, video presentations, and open informal discussions about the history, culture, economy, and politics of Taiwan. The tour language is English. If a lecture or a presentation is not in English, then a translator will be available. This year, the group will visit the Tsunah Center’s home city I-Lan for the first two days. Then, the group will go on an around-the-island tour along the island’s most beautiful east coast to Taroko National Park, Hualien, Taitung and Kaohsiung, then back to Taipei, visiting sites of historical and cultural interest, and having some fun at the same time.

The previous Tour participants were mostly undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S. universities due to the tour’s winter break dates. This year, by changing the tour date to November when the airplane ticket price is least expensive and the weather in Taiwan is the best, we hope more young professionals will participate. Participants are limited to individuals at least 18 years old.
