The 11^th International Youth Culture Tour of Taiwan

General Information:

The International Youth Culture Tour of Taiwan provides a unique and exciting opportunity to learn firsthand about the beautiful island of Taiwan and its people, culture, and history. The tour is geared toward college students and young professionals but open to all who are interested. The 2011 tour will begin with three days in I-Lan County, with presentations on Taiwanese history and politics, and visits to interesting local sites such as a night market and a traditional arts center. On the fourth day, the group will embark on an island-wide bus tour along Taiwan’s stunning east coast to Taroko National Park, Hualien, and Taitung, before continuing to the vibrant southern cities of Pingtung, Kaohsiung and Tainan, and finally returning to the capital city of Taipei via high-speed rail. The itinerary includes stops at significant sites of historical and cultural interest; formal lectures; video presentations; informal discussions about the history, culture, economics, and politics of Taiwan; and plenty of opportunities for fun and exploration. The tour runs 11 days/10 nights (12/23/11 – 1/2/12), and the registration fee is US$750.00 (inclusive of lodging, meals, tour transportation, and all admission tickets). The tour language is English. If a lecture or a presentation is not in English, a translator will be provided.

The 2011 International Youth Culture Tour of Taiwan will be the eleventh tour sponsored by the Tsunah Foundation. Previous tour participants have mostly been undergraduate and graduate students from U.S. universities and young professionals. Registration is open to individuals 18 years and older.

Qualifications:	18 years and older with fluent English
Camp Dates*:	December 23, 2011: report to Tsunah Taipei Office*** at 9:00 am (early morning pick-up at Taoyuan Airport can be arranged if needed) January 2, 2012: conclude Tour at Tsunah Taipei Office at 4:30 pm (Taoyuan Airport drop-off at 3pm)
Registration Cut-off Date:	October 31, 2011 or until full (limited to 35 participants)
Registration Fee:	US$750.00 (airplane tickets to and from Taiwan are not included)
Airplane Ticket:	You may purchase tickets online, through your travel agent, or you may contact Sea & Sky Travel Agency** in San Diego, CA

*You may plan to arrive at Taiwan before December 23rd, but join the group at Tsunah Taipei Office on December 23rd. You may also arrange to stay in Taiwan after January 2nd to suit your schedule.
