The 10th International Youth Culture Camp in Taiwan This biennial Tsunah Youth Culture Camp in Taiwan in December 2009 will be the tenth camp sponsored by the Tsunah Foundation. The total camp in Taiwan this year will be shortened to 5 days and 4 nights, and it will be free of charges except the $50.00 registration fee. This camp program is geared toward Taiwanese / international young people by providing them an opportunity to learn firsthand about the beautiful island of Taiwan and its people. During the camp, there will be formal lectures, videotapes, and open informal discussions about the history, culture, economy, and politics of Taiwan. The camp language is English. If a lecture or an explanation is not in English, then a translator will be available. This year, the group will stay in the Tsunah Center’s dormitory facility for the first four days. Then, the group will tour along the island’s most beautiful east coast to Taroko Gorge National Park on the last day. The previous Camp participants were mostly undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S. universities. There were also young professionals. Participants are usually from 18 to 40 years old.
